Make the Days Count

Hey everybody, this is just a special commentary to start off 2010

Over the past month, we've publicly lost the likes of Chris Henry, Brittany Murphy, Casey Johnson, Steve 'Dr. Death' Williams, and Rory Markas all for the public eye to see. In the midst of these tragic losses in which all seem to have left us so young, we always tend to use these to reflect, put things in perspective, and, at least for a time, rethink our positions and views on life.

But its not about the celebrity. Everyone has loved ones and everyone leaves behind those who grieve. I think at some point the perspective needs to take full time, the reality known all the time. Estimates have shown that around 2-3 people pass away every second, verses 4-5 people born every second. This whole would is a revolving door, and you know not when you're making your way out!

When we grieve, we tend to grieve for us who are left behind. I, for one, think something real special lies on the other side, and when I get there I may be wondering; "why I didn't get here soon enough?"

But we are here now, meant for now, living for now. Yet unfortunately we only regard our time and our people as precious when we lose them. My wish is that we can begin to value the time even now, that we begin to walk in each other's shoes just as the same life source goes through all of our bodies. Make meaningful connections, have a shread of humanity. Spend time encouraging and supporting instead of tearing down all the time. Why is every one so critical and judgmental? What are you gaining? Let those grieving grieve and if you can't respect even that then just back up and go away. Please!

Please everybody, no longer wait until you lose somebody close to you to all of a sudden gain perspective. Make a permanent decision to have perspective. Make the most out your moments. Whether that be to party hard, sky dive, get in touch with nature, road trips, staying at home, or whatever your vice is. Just don't forget to walk in love, unity, and strength. Thanks
