Four Pots On My Stovetop

Never an excuse for a guy who lives alone to have a pot or a pan occupying all four stoves on a stovetop, but this is my current situation. As you can imagine, the lids to those respective pots and pans are scattered across various counters in my kitchen. I need to wash them if, for no other reason, to clear space for me to make some food for today but I'm looking for every reason not to.
No noise in the apartment currently, but plenty of noise all around. There's kids playing outside, reminding me of many Saturdays in June from my childhood. I can currently hear a kid splashing in a pool outside, a basketball bouncing, an adult occasionally calling out, trying to keep some semblance of control. My new neighbors upstairs are marching around like they're mad they missed out on a military parade that is supposedly happening today... what a ridiculous steaming pile of bullshit that is, by the way.
And then, there's me, probably the least intriguing figure of all in this cluttered and honestly, dirty apartment, still trying to find his writing mojo.  I normally write on notepads, because I still love that feeling.. and I kinda like my handwriting. I think that's the writers' version of "loving to hear themselves talk" but ANYWAY: Kitchen and apartment aren't the only places that need de-cluttering, I guess.
So what of the rest of this Saturday? Well, I will have no choice but to clean some of this shit up, cuz it's getting embarrassing... even to my unorganized ass! But I imagine that if I can get thing done quickly enough, there may be something out there for me for the rest of the day.  Sadly, I can't see past the four pots on my stovetop, so... headphones on, old school Soul R&B playlist ready to go, time to get to it.
